Christsmas do' part 2!

After a few hours around the market we went for a very tasty Christmas dinner! We exchanged our secret Santa's which was a little bit exciting, everyones presents were super lovely! (Check out a few of them above) It was hard work walking back to the car with all our turkey bellies but we made it and topped the night off with 2nd place at the pub quiz! Whoo yeah!

Early morning market time!

We've been getting all Christmas'y in the studio, preparing our secret santas, drawing to some Christmas jingles and eating a few too many mince pies! This week we had our Christmas do'. Part one was an early morning visit to an enormous vintage market! We all left our houses whilst it was still dark to catch the early bird bargains! Here are just a few things we saw along the way.

Head Hunters Exhibtion!

You gotta check this out.... the Head hunters exhibition, a collection of Bristol based illustrators at Start Gallery. Quirky illustrations and prints including work from one of our friends Laurie Rollitt. Be quick though as it's only on till 7th December!!!!!!

Matchboxes

Came across some nice little 1950's and 60's Eastern European matchbox labels. Loving the concept that such small images can communicate to such a large number of people! It seems it wasn't long before governments realised the potential of these small advertising spaces, cheekily using them as a space for propaganda and service announcements.

Man up!

'Man Up' is a nice (although a tad sad) little animation from Ed Barrett. After being told he could never be an animator due to his inaccurate representation of the human form, Ed went on to prove accusations wrong, recently graduating on the animation course at RCA. Nice one!
