Jon Burgerman in Winchester!

Anyone who likes great design, street art, illustration or just wants wants to be inspired and see a show that it quite different for the gallery space at the Discovery Centre should pop along to see this show! We went last night to the private view and all came away buzzing! you can buy some of his lovely products in the shop too! nice!

BRAIN DRAIN @ Winchester Discovery Centre > 14 May – 11 July 2010

Brain Drain is the title of the new exhibition by UK artist Jon Burgerman. The show will involve the squishing, twisting and wrenching of Jon's meagre brain to elicit revelational truths and insights through the medium of pens and paint.

Augmented reality, dualism, twin earth theory, the pineal gland and the perfect sandwich are current concerns being wrung out.

Jon Burgerman's work often deals with the modern world, disquietude, mental phenomena and irrelevant minutiae. These themes are taken as starting points for the creation of often flowing and interconnected hand rendered works that are simultaneously painting, design and mass communication.

Brain Drain will feature new paintings, prints, drawings, digital animations and soft sculpture, as well as key works from the last 8 years.

Wednesday 26 May, 8pm
In conjunction with his solo show, join the artist for an informal evening talking about his exciting career and the making of Brain Drain.

Childrens library a GO GO...

We have been working on some new graphics for the Winchester Discover Center.

To brighten up the Children's Library we have created a huge map of the world and a very very fancy clock. All done with printed wallpaper and cut vinyls.

The picture are particularly bad, but the graphics look amazing. Better pictures will follow>>>>>

Peagreen Private View was more than OKAY!

Last Thursday saw our first ever gallery show at our studio in Winchester. It was a great evening with many familiar faces and lots of new ones coming along to check out, buy and in one case try to steal the work !! :o0

We produced a selection of limited edition art prints, one off pieces, t-shirts and badges etc...which will shortly be available online if they don't sell out before friday (when the show closes, hurry hurry!!!)

Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make the evening a great success....all the peagreeners had so much fun!
